That statement is not true! It's cynical. Maybe it applies to his subject (M. Moore) and himself: These are not really documentaries. They are polemics.: "'I'm being very honest,' he says. 'I'm manipulating (audiences) with this film." This guy should check out Pennebaker and the Sayles Bros., as well as the guy who did Titicut Follies.(Wiseman I think). A doc lets the camera roll.The manipulation occurs in the editing. These other guys go in with an agenda.
