Twas a textbook win
ESPN.com - MLB - MLB RECAP Beautiful day for a game. Damn, did my forearms and knees get burnt. Gee whiz, the longest day of the year, and who sits in the sun in shorts and t-shirt sans sunblock for five hours ( I am such a geek I even show up for batting practice. And I keep score)? Me, thats who. Watch out for Detroit next year. They have some good young arms. . . Bonderman only became unraveled because of his inexperience I think. He was pitching lights out until shit happened. Not everyone strikes out Piazza and FLoyd in order, or Piazza twice in three ab's.gotta defend MAtsui too. The Mets haven't had a real first basemen over there all season (actually the past couple of seasons, Mo Vaughn is NOT even a baseball player! I think a good defensive 1B would have handled that throwing E yesterday, and probably a couple or five of Matsui's 15 E's. Nonetheless, I got to see Piazza and Ivan Rodriguez behind the plate. . .two H.o.fer's. Was a treat.
