Random Touch.
Random Touch is a multi-media group that creates music CDs, DVDs, live performances, and soundtracks for film and television.Well, I picked up one of their CD's and here is why. 1) The title "A Parade of Dusty Hobos". How could one's interest not be piqued? 2.) The back cover photo of the band... normal looking, older dudes. Maybe even homely looking.Guys like these usually produce great music, but go unheard cuz their mugs don't translate to sales.3) A sticker on the album that draw a comparison to Can, Miles Davis(!), and Zappa. 4) A sale price of 99 cents. I am neither dissapointed nor surprised. It wouldn't be fair to comment because I listened as I played the"Tropico" game. I also was awake since 4 am, with very little sleep, had a coupla light beers in me and a quantity of smoke. The music lingered in the background, not unpleasantly, but not in a busy Zappa-esque sense. I didn't perk up like I did the first time I heard "Bitches Brew". I didn't feel transported the way I did when I first heard Can or Holgar Czukay either. That being said, I'll give it a little more time.
