Dead Writer number three. . .Author Saul Bellow dies at 89
Author Saul Bellow dies at 89 I LOVED this guy! His short story "Looking for Mr. Green" works on so many levels. I had to write a paper on it in order to clinch the A.A. degree. The assignment was to be 7-10 pages. I could not stop writing. . .I think it hit 12 and then I had to bring it to an abrupt stop. Got an A. . .I read ". . .Augie MArch" when the wife and I were in Mexico. It has been termed a modern day "Huck Finn" and I can kinda see that. It is pretty damn awesome, but I think it coulda used a little less sprawl. I'm gonna check out "herzog" or "henderson" once the 'death run' finishes at the library.
