I guess like most, he read Ch. Buk in his early twenties, and jumped at the chance. He's obviously read the stuff (unlike a former aquaintance of mine who used to get drunk and say he wanted to "rage like Bikowski". . . Bukowski raged on the page, women raged at Bukowski, humanity raged at him. . . former friend obviously read two or three pages, saw "BArfly" and thought he got the gist. Reading was tough work for this cat.
